SUMMARY:Open Yard: Tour of Butterfly Cove Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Tour the “pocket prairie” along a small lakeshore bluff at Butterfly Cove\, a 5-year project that began with the solarization process to replace a weed-filled area with pollinator plants. Other garden areas include a native shade plant garden\, a small clover bee lawn\, and sun and shade perennial gardens. The homeowner is a volunteer educator with the UMN Extension Washington County Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
