The Brown’s Creek Watershed District Board and Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) will have a walking tour on Monday, September 8, 2025 starting at 5 p.m. in-person on the patio of the Lakes of Stillwater, 107 Bridgewater Way, Stillwater.
The tour will be on paved trails and approximately 2 miles one-way. Please dress to be outside for the entire two hours. No restroom facilities will be available on the walk.

- Joint tour focusing on the Long Lake area:
- 5pm - Meet at the Lakes at Stillwater – walk along buffer trail, discuss stormwater features, look at signage
- Stop at the Long Lake Weir – discuss flooding issues, weir configuration, and weir changes feasibility
- Walk along trail on west side of lake
- Stop at the Legend’s HOA dock – discuss plant surveys, water quality, and chloride impairment
- Continue along trail – discuss CAC bird walks and bird ID
- Stop at 62nd St – discuss inlet and CAC buckthorn removal
- Stop near Lakeview construction site – discuss plans, inspections, and dewatering techniques
- 7pm - Carpool back to the Lakes (have a few vehicles parked at 62nd St)
- 5pm - Meet at the Lakes at Stillwater – walk along buffer trail, discuss stormwater features, look at signage
